Foreign Resident Community Cultural Event Support
BFIC support for Foreign Resident Community Cultural Events is to help stimulate the activities of these Communities and to offer opportunity for Busan Citizens to experience various cultual events.
Eligible
Foreign Resident Groups or Organizations in Busan, and whose purpose is promoting friendship, information exchange, mutual interchange, etc. (※For-profit organizations are excluded)
- Events related to
Culture․Art․Sports․Exhibition․Festival․Education․Conference - Events that are available for Busan citizens (Number of participants should be over 30)
- Other events that fit within the purpose of this program can be considered for support.
Supporting Field
- Financial Support : Maximum 500,000 KRW per organization
- Additional supports might be available in certain circumstances (e.g. cultural events that promote interchange with citizens and enhances citizen's global consciousness).
- Administrative Support : Offers various administrative supports such as event place arrangement, event promotion etc.

The BFIC operates various programs and services for international students to help them settle down easily into life in Busan and also provides information to students from all over the world considering coming to study in Busan.
Holding a Busan foreign study fair overseas
- The BFIC supports to hold a Busan foreign study fair overseas to attract students considering coming to study in Busan.
- Participating and holding a Busan foreign study fair overseas and providing financial support to the universities that participate in the fair.
Providing scholarship for international students
- The BFIC scholarship provides financial support annually to encourage international students to excel in their studies in Busan.
- Providing scholarship of 2 billion won for selected students chosen by each college.
Busan Study Abroad Camp
- The BFIC holds a Busan Study Abroad Camp to improve the image of Busan city and encourage international students to experience on studying abroad in Busan.
- High school and college students from Busan’s sister cities overseas visit colleges in Busan and experience Korean culture.
Support in internship and career for international students
- The BFIC runs internship programs to support international students in Busan and provides internship opportunities to strengthen their future careers.
- Providing part-time job information and internship opportunities, operating interpretation assistance program for Chinese cruise tourists and career lectures.
Busan familiarization tour for international students
- The BFIC offers a Korean cultural experience program to help international students understand Korean culture and adapt to their lives in Busan well.
- Traditional cultural experiences, tour of historical sites.
Dynamic K-Wave Class
- The BFIC runs K-Wave class for foreign residents in Busan to help them understand Korean popular culture and also Korean tradition through cultural experiences.
- K-pop dance, Korean traditional wedding, cooking course, K-pop concert.
Operating a network for international students
- The BFIC operates a 'Network for International Students' to promote friendship among international students in Busan and strengthen the network through various cultural exchanges and voluntary services.
- Regular meetings, voluntary services, cultural experiences and exchange activities.
