‘Firstly, stop at the crosswalk’, the revised Road Traffic Act is effective from Jul 12

① Drivers are under an obligation to stop their cars even when pedestrians cross or are going to do the crosswalk. A penalty(40,000 won for sedan) will be imposed for violating.

② Drivers have to stop their cars in front of the crosswalk without traffic light in children protection zones, regardless of pedestrians. Violation of this will result in a fine of up to 200,000 won.
